National Night Out

National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Events will include a tour of the TF police department, K-9 demonstration and information from several participating organizations such as: Jr. Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch, C.E.R.T., Pinebrook Firehouse, Traffic Safety, EMS and others.

Organizational Meeting: Attendance at this meeting is mandatory to participate in this year's class. Student leaders and their parents/guardians are to arrive at 7pm.  This meeting should last approximately an hour.  Permission slips and waiver forms will be handed out and we will have an open discussion with just the adults to answer any questions or concerns that parents/guardians might have.  Should parents/guardians have any questions or concerns prior to the organizational meeting, they may contact Lt. Bob Delaune at 732-542-3400 Ext. 276.

Only 24 cadets are chosen each year. This progam is open to all Borough residents who have completed the 7th grade by June of 2010 through those who have completed 10th grade through June 2010.  You may apply if you are not a Borough resident, provided you attend a public school in Tinton Falls.  Applications are due by noon on May 1, 2010.  Applications are available online, Junior Police Academy Application, also at Tinton Falls Middle School main office; High School students may obtain an application from Officer Marks or private school students may obtain an application from the Police Watch Commander. All Tinton Falls Residents are cordially invited to attend the quarterly meetings of the Neighborhood Watch 2010. The meetings are organized by the Police Department and attended by Borough officials. The meetings are meant to inform residents of new safety information as well as hear from the residents who may want to address a safety issue in their neighborhood or propose new ideas for meeting topics. The day to get rid of your stash!  It's time to get rid of your unused & expired medicine.
Bring your expired or unused medicine to the Tinton Falls Police Headquarter's Collection Site.  By joining Operation Medicine Cabinet, you will be safely disposing of medications that are commonly abused.  You will be helping to limit access by young people to medicine that is being abused at alarming rates.

"Rude Awakening" Program June 4, 2009
Monmouth Regional High School
Tinton Falls Police Department will be conducting "Rude Awakening" at Monmouth Regional High School.  The program is a three-fold program targeting the senior class of Monmouth Regionial High School.  The combined number of students will be over three and will be conducted as an all day event at Monmouth Regional High School.  The program is designed to educate the community about the life-altering damage caused by the misuse of alchol and of emergency response to an accident, and a coned driving course using the combination of golf carts and the "fatal Vision" drunk driving goggles.  A list of presenters include the following: Municipal Court Judge, a trauma nurse fromt the Jersey Shore Medical Center, a social worker and counselor, a physical therapist and family members that have lost loved ones to an alcohol related accidents.
