A Community Health Fair, sponsored by Kensington Court Assisted Living, was held on June 14th. The fair was hosted by Tinton Falls and was held at Borough Hall.
Borough Administrator, Gerry Turning felt it was important to provide a place where residents could get information and guidance in one place at one time.
"The fair really accomplished what we hoped it would," Sandy Zubowski, marketing director of Kensington Court said. "We wanted to make sure that we covered a great deal of information and had professionals available to answer questions on senior housing, adult day care, rehab stays, completing Medicaid applications and other issues that might be of concern to seniors and their family."
Along with getting much needed information, residents were able to get their blood pressure and hearing checked as well as their eyes examined. A 'just for fun' body fitness test was on hand for anyone who wanted to gauge their body's performance and calculate their "Fitness" age. Raffles were held throughout the day with prizes including $100 gift cards.
The large turnout of residents from Tinton Falls and the surrounding areas made this health fair a great success!!
