                                          Thursday    9:30am to 7:00pm
                                           Friday        9:30am to 4:00pm
                                           Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm

We are located in front of the Middle School on Tinton Avenue, just south of the intersection with Sycamore Avenue. (Directions to the Library) Though we look small, we’re bigger than you think and we offer a great service! Library cards are free to all residents. Come by and pick up your card and meet your neighbors, too. "Wireless Hot Spot"

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS  

  • Celebrate February with a Blind Date with a Book! Our adult patrons can come in and select either a nonfiction or fiction item to take home. All books are wrapped up so it is truly a blind date - you won't know what you've got until you get home. (We'll know but won't tell.) Give it a whirl and read something new!
  • We  our patrons so we will be offering Fine Forgiveness Week again in February. From Feburary 13 to February 18, any item that is currently overdue can be returned and your fines will be forgiven. What a way to say "Thank You!" to our community!
  • Did you know that last year over 3.7 million people found jobs using public library computers to look for them? Come in and see how we can help you use our computers in your job search!
  • With all the excitement about eBooks and eReaders, we sometimes forget that there are free resources for folks with vision or hearing impairments or reading disabilities at the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center at http://njsltbbc.org/ .
  • Career Transitions is a self-paced resource that walks the job-seeker through the entire process of landing a job. No matter where you are in life, Career Transitions helps you take the next step. Career Transitions offers a practical, personalized, and guided experience that integrates all the tools needed in the job search process.

  • Volunteering in the Library:  We are always interested in volunteers. We have a form available here on the website. If you are curious about what volunteers do in the library, take a look at our presentation.
  • Computer coaching for adults offered two days a week: Mondays 11AM to noon and Fridays 1:30 to 2:30PM. Call the library at 732-542-3110 to schedule your one-on-one coaching session!
  • Putting a book on Hold from your home computer
    In order to put a book on Hold, the book must be checked out. Books that are checked out will indicate that in their Location.
    If the book you want is checked out:
       1. Click on "Place Hold" which appears below the picture of the book cover.
       2. Enter your library card number in the box. Do Not Attempt to Enter a PIN.
       3. Click on the blue "Place Hold" button.
    Sometimes, this process does not work. If you have trouble, check to make sure that the book is actually checked out. If you need further assistance, please call the library at 732-542-3110. DVDs or books on our shelves may not be placed on hold.
  • Renewing your materials from your home computer
    In order to renew materials you have checked out from your home computer, you will need your library card.
       1. Go to our online catalog.
       2. On the right hand side of the Search screen, under "My Account", click on "Renew My Materials".
       3. Enter your library card.
       4. Select the items that you want to renew by clicking on the boxes by each title or by clicking on the "Renew All" button.
       5. Click on the blue "Renew Selected Items" button.

DVDs may only be renewed once. Books, audio books and CDs may be renewed twice.
