Joey Anderson's Eagle Project

Pictures from the 1st day

5 April 2009

My Eagle Project is to create a walking trail on the grounds of the Historical Society’s Crawford House on Tinton Avenue in Tinton Falls.

About my project:
My trail will be the start of the trail system being created by the Tinton Falls Open Space Committee.  This trail will interconnect with other parcels of land acquired and to be acquired by the Tinton Falls Open Space Committee.  Eventually these trails have the potential to connect the entire network of Tinton Falls and Allaire State Park lands in Tinton Falls. These trails will add to the everlasting beauty of Tinton Falls.

My project will eventually become known as the “Trail Head” in conjunction with the opening of the newly renovated Crawford House.  The Crawford House will have a museum section for Tinton Falls / New Shrewsbury and it will also have the maps of the new trail system, as the trails are cleared and put in place. My trail will sweep around the original slave burial ground of Tinton Falls.  The markings of this burial ground will be completed by another scout from Fort Monmouth Troop 49.

Tinton Falls is dedicated to maintaining the beauty of the town. To allow its citizens to appreciate its natural beauty.  A trail system is being developed that will eventually lead from its boundaries with Middletown and Red Bank down through its boundary with Ocean Township and eventually ending up with its Neptune boundary.  The development of this project’s section of the trail is pivotal to connecting pieces of the trail in development.
