Welcome Mayor Gerald M. Turning

Within the area of the Garden State Parkway interchange project, Hope Road will be closed while drainage improvements are being installed starting Monday, August 11, 2014.  All work will be conducted at night and the road will be opened prior to the morning rush hour.  Detour routes will be established.

Monmouth County Division of Engineering continues to advance the intersection realignment and bridge construction project on Asbury Avenue (County Route 16).  Asbury Avenue will be detoured around the new bridge construction for approximately 8 to 10 weeks.  The detour will loop around the construction onto Essex Road and back onto Asbury Avenue.  Access to Essex Road from Asbury Avenue is restricted for the duration of the detour.  Access to Essex Road will only be available from Jumping Brook Road (near Walmart).  The  full closure of Essex Road will occur at Seabrook Village.  Advance warning signs will be posted throughout the area along with Seabrook Village directional signage. Detour signage will also be posted at the Outlet Mall driveways directing motorists south on Essex Road.

In 2013, Monmouth County was chosen to participate in the New Jersey "Assessment Demonstration Program" which is intended to provide a more cost effective and accurate process for property assessments, including the annual adjustment of assessments to reflect changes in the market.  Click here to learn more about the "Assessment Demonstration Program.
