Study Conducted by the Star Ledger
TINTON FALLS, NJ – The June 2012 edition of Inside Jersey, a monthly magazine published by the Star Ledger, features a cover story about the best towns to retire to in New Jersey. Tinton Falls was ranked #1 out of all the towns in the state.
Several factors were used in the study including affordability, crime rate, culture, health care services, recreational opportunities and each town’s own unique character and livability.
“This is wonderful news,” said Mayor Michael Skudera. “Our entire community should be very proud and honored by this achievement. From its affordability to its low crime rate to its outstanding services, Tinton Falls is a great place to live.”
“I am proud to call Tinton Falls my home,” said Borough Council President Gary Baldwin who lives in Seabrook Village, the largest full service active retirement community in Tinton Falls. "Tinton Falls has proven to be a well-managed, safe and attractive place to operate a business, raise a family or live out your retirement years. Our local school systems are second to none, our parks and recreation activities are outstanding, our taxes have been maintained at a very low level and the growth that has taken place has been controlled by careful oversight of the planning and zoning boards. What is there NOT to like about Tinton Falls?" said Councilman Baldwin.
Tinton Falls has a population of approximately 18,000 residents and is conveniently located near beaches, shopping areas, restaurants and parks plus it’s easily accessible by rail and highways.
