Mayor Skudera Declares a State of Emergency for Tinton Falls
As of today, October 28th I have declared a State of Emergency for the Borough of Tinton Falls. The forecast calls for severer weather conditions that include high winds, heavy rain, and potential flooding.
Over the last several days, my administration has been preparing for this storm. The Department of Public Works has been working diligently collecting loose brush from the roadways and clearing storm drains of debris to minimize flooding. The Office of Emergency Management has been activated and key personal and resources have been mobilized in preparation of Sandy.
During this State of Emergency please directly contact the Tinton Falls Office of Emergency Management at 732-542-3400 ext. 555. If you have an emergency please dial 911.
The borough website includes a list of important numbers that you should keep handy during the storm. If you have not signed up for our Code Red messaging system, please do so right away by clicking here.
Be cautious and stay safe, as Sandy is predicted to be a powerful storm.
