Re: Help for Haiti
Dear Residents:
Your neighbor, Mayor Ed Johnson of Asbury Park, is asking for your help for the disaster-stricken people of Haiti.
As I am sure everyone is now aware, Haiti suffered a major 7.0 earthquake, late yesterday afternoon, which has devastated parts of the country and a majority of the capital city Port au Prince. Asbury Park, like many New Jersey municipalities, is proud to include Haitian Americans as part of its diverse community. Many have been personally affected by this recent tragedy.
Mayor Johnson asks that we join him in lending whatever support we can to assist with providing comfort and support to our neighbors and/or to the relief effort.
HOW WE CAN HELP:
Thank you. And we especially want to thank you, Mayor Johnson, for taking the lead and giving us direction on this.
Mayor Michael Skudera William G. Dressel, Jr.
