TWO MEMORIAL SERVICES TO COMMEMORATE THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11

 



Fire District 2 - The Officers and Members of Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 would like to invite the public to come to reflect and remember all who lost their lives during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Join us again this year, for the ceremony, to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

9/11 Memorial Service & Dedication of the Refurbished 9/11 Memorial
Tinton Falls Firehouse (695 TINTON AVE.) Sycamore & Tinton Avenues

The Tinton Falls Fire Co. #1 is also seeking donations to help rebuild the World Trade Center Memorial site at the firehouse.  This new memorial will feature matching steel beams from the Towers and will replace the original memorial which is in disrepair due to weather conditions.  The new memorial needs to be completed for the 10th anniversary in 2011.

Fire District 1 - The Wayside Fire Co. - The members of the Wayside Fire Company will be holding a dedication of our 9/11 Firefighters Memorial and vestibule display built in honor of fallen FDNY Firefighter Arthur Barry on Saturday, 10 September 2011 starting at 12PM at the firehouse on 2 Volunteer Way. All members of the fire, EMS, police communities are invited and encouraged to attend. Members of the public and family members of victims from 9/11 are also invited to attend.
