JCP&L
plans to complete a project in Tinton Falls that
should provide the borough with more reliable electrical service.
They will begin installing new equipment at the Atlantic
Substation to "add redundancy and increase reliability."
President of JCP&L, Don Lynch, advised that the work will
involve adding redundant transmission lines and upgrading substation equipment
to avoid possible overloading conditions, particularly during the hot summer
months when increased use of air conditioning has the potential to challenge the
electrical system.
