The folks at St. Thomas AME Zion Church on Pine Brook Road are looking for people who want to sell things and buy things at the Church's community Yard Sale fundraiser. To reserve a yard sale table at $10.00 or for further inquiries please call 732-542-8205.  
 

St. Thomas, which celebrates 195 years in Tinton Falls in 2010, has been a central point for community activities for decades.  Their yard sale is Saturday, August 15, 2009, so if you want a table, contact them now (see the attached flier). 
 

In addition to the Yard Sale, there will also be a display of fire apparatus from the borough fire companies and the legendary grilling team from the Pine Brook Fire Co. will be there to make their famous ribs and chicken dinners.  This is about as old fashioned a community event as you can find, with new and old friends and local volunteers coming together to help a cornerstone of the community to raise funds for desparately needed repairs inside their church, including a leaking basement wall that needs immediate help.

So, mark your calendars for a week from this Saturday.  The Yard Sale starts and 8 AM and runs into the afternoon.
