Thank you for taking the time to participate in the survey. Approximately 380 residents took part in the survey.  Most residents voted for Design #1 but your comments also showed that you liked some elements of Design #2.
We will review all of the suggestions and incorporate many of them into the new website.

Again, thank you for all of your creative ideas and suggestions.

Tinton Falls has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System - an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. This system allows us to telephone all, or targeted areas, of the Borough in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action.

The system is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. It then delivers our recorded message to a live person or an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to any number.

The system is only as good as the telephone database supporting it. If your phone number is not in the database, you will not be called. CodeRED gives those who want to be included an easy and secure method for doing so.  The information will only be used for emergency notification purposes. It is a secure system which will not generate commercial calls. Questions may be directed to Beth Hessek, 732-542-3400 Ext. 305, in the Emergency Management Office.

Support Mayor Maclearie's
170 Mile Ride for Multiple Sclerosis
Dear Friends,

Hope all is well.  I’ve appreciated your support in the past and I’m hoping that you’ll support me again this year.

Once again, I will be riding for 170 miles on May 17th and 18th with a team (my daughter Jaqueline, sister Mary Beth and neighbors John & Deidre Senkewicz) for the “Coast the Coast” Bike Tour benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and it’s Mid-Jersey Chapter.  Over 3,000 cyclists and volunteers will participate in this exciting event.  Our team has been very successful in the past at raising both money and awareness.  I’ve personally set a goal to raise more than $10,000 this year and I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

I’ve been called crazy because of some of the things that I’ve done in my life and last year while doing this I was convincing myself that I am.  I’m hoping that my efforts (as small as they may be in the grand scheme of things) will ultimately help those in need.  Once again, this ride will have special significance to me for many reasons.  Ever since I agreed to attempt this ride last year I’ve learned of several friends and a cousin who have been diagnosed with MS.  In addition, as I asked for sponsors, I realized how we know someone close or are personally affected by MS.  My pain will be short term but they must live with symptoms until a cure is found.

MS is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks your nervous system. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of the disease cannot be predicted and symptoms may range from numbness to paralysis or blindness.  Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, but the unpredictable physical and emotional effects can last forever.  The National MS Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

With your help, I hope to make a difference in the lives of those with MS. Over 16,000 families in New Jersey alone are affected by multiple sclerosis. The goal of the event is to raise $1 million in an effort to fund a miracle cure. By riding in this tour, I am taking part in making that miracle happen for so many families.   My personal goal is raise as much as I possible can (and I never set my sights low).  Any pledge amount you can offer will be greatly appreciated!  Thank you in advance for your support.

Please let me know if you are interested in sponsoring me for this ride.  I “will complete the ride”.

Your friend,

Pete

Tinton Falls Heroes

We're looking for names, ranks, and photos of Tinton Falls residents who are proudly serving our country in the US military, so we can place them on a special web page on this site.  If you have a family member in the service, please send that information to webmaster@tintonfalls.com so we can create that page. Include your own name so that we may contact you, if necessary.
Petition Re Cost to Educate Earle Civilians
Dear Tinton Falls Resident,

Do you want your taxes to go up?
Please take a moment to read about this very important issue and how it will affect how much taxes you pay in Tinton Falls. Then please take action today.
• The Navy is planning to open 300 housing units by 2010 to civilians at the Earle Naval Weapons Station facility.
• The taxpayers in Tinton Falls and Shrewsbury will be responsible for paying to educate possibly hundreds of students living in these homes at a price of approximately $12,000 per student.
