Tinton Falls, NJ — Mayor Risa Clay and the Borough Council are pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher J. Camilleri as the new Business Administrator for the Borough of Tinton Falls.

Mr. Camilleri brings more than 30 years of distinguished public service and executive leadership experience to the role, with a career spanning municipal operations, public safety administration, and intergovernmental coordination across Monmouth County and the State of New Jersey. A Certified Public Manager, he has demonstrated expertise in overseeing complex organizations, managing budgets and procurement, and ensuring efficient, compliant delivery of public services.

Mr. Camilleri recently retired as a Detective Lieutenant with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, where he provided executive oversight of multiple divisions and coordinated operations across municipal, county, state, and federal agencies. His experience includes budget administration, policy development, contract negotiation, and emergency management, making him exceptionally well suited to lead the Borough’s day to day operations.

In addition to his public sector leadership, Mr. Camilleri serves as a Security Consultant with Prevent Advisors, where he advises organizations on risk management, emergency preparedness, and operational compliance.

Mayor Clay expressed strong confidence in the appointment:

“Chris brings a rare combination of operational expertise, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of how local government works at every level. His background in public safety, administration, and interagency coordination will be invaluable as we continue to deliver high quality services, manage growth responsibly, and plan for the future of Tinton Falls. We are proud to welcome him to our team.”

Mayor Clay also recognized Interim Business Administrator Tom Fallon for his leadership and service during the transition:

“We are incredibly grateful to Tom Fallon for once again stepping into the role of interim Business Administrator and providing steady, experienced leadership during this transition. His commitment to our Borough, his professionalism, and his deep institutional knowledge have helped ensure continuity of operations and continued progress for our community.”

Mr. Camilleri shared his enthusiasm for joining the Borough:

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the residents of Tinton Falls in this capacity. I look forward to working closely with the Mayor, Council, and dedicated Borough staff to ensure effective operations, strong fiscal management, and responsive service to the community.”

Mr. Camilleri holds a Master of Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Thomas Edison State University. He is a graduate of the Rutgers Certified Public Manager program and has completed advanced leadership training through the FBI LEEDA Command and Supervisor Leadership Institutes, as well as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
