Tinton Falls Earns Film Ready Designation, Creating New Opportunities for Local Businesses

TINTON FALLS, NJ — The Borough of Tinton Falls has officially been designated a Film Ready community through the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, completing the state's five-step certification process designed to prepare municipalities for film and television production activity.

This designation comes at an exciting time as Netflix moves forward with its plans at Fort Monmouth. By becoming Film Ready, Tinton Falls is positioning itself to support future productions while helping local businesses capitalize on the economic opportunities that accompany the film and television industry.

Production companies bring significant economic activity to the communities in which they work. Film crews often rely on local restaurants, coffee shops, caterers, transportation providers, hotels, dry-cleaning services, retail stores, and other businesses throughout the production process. These expenditures can provide a meaningful boost to the local economy while creating opportunities for businesses to expand services and attract new customers.

Local businesses are encouraged to register with the state's Film Ready program. Registered businesses are included in a database that production companies can access when seeking vendors, services, and community partners during filming. This provides local establishments with the opportunity to be considered when productions come to Tinton Falls and the surrounding region.
