Power Outage Update – Tinton Falls
We know many of our residents have been without power for an extended period of time, and we understand how frustrating and difficult that can be, especially during this heat. As of this afternoon, approximately 1,200 JCP&L customers in Tinton Falls remain without power.

JCP&L crews have been working around the clock since yesterday to restore service throughout the Borough. Their efforts were made more challenging by the high winds associated with last evening’s storm, which caused additional outages while crews were already working to restore power. At this time, JCP&L estimates that power will be restored to most remaining customers by the early evening hours.
Please know that Borough officials have been in constant contact with the Governor’s Office as well as JCP&L management and are continuing to advocate on behalf of our residents to ensure every possible resource is being used to restore power as quickly as possible.

If you are still without power and have not already reported your outage, please contact JCP&L at 1-888-544-4877. Reporting your outage helps ensure it has been documented and assigned for restoration.

If you need a place to cool off, charge your phone, or require temporary assistance, Borough Hall is available. Simply come to Borough Hall and speak with the Police Watch Commander, who will be happy to arrange access and assist you.

For your safety, please stay away from any downed power lines and always assume they are energized. Report any downed wires immediately to 911 and JCP&L. Please remember that 911 should be used only for emergencies requiring an immediate police, fire, or EMS response.
