RUTGERS DRIVE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

Wednesday, 8/5 – The contractor will continue milling Rutgers Drive from Columbia Drive towards Water Street. Rutgers Drive will initially be closed to through traffic from Wayside Drive to Harvard Drive and then from Harvard Drive to Water Street. A detour route will be set up for through traffic. Local traffic and residents can still get in and out of their driveways during milling operations.

Thursday, 8/6 – The contractor will start paving Rutgers Drive from Wayside Road towards Stockton Street/Harvard Drive. Rutgers Drive will be closed to all traffic from Wayside Road to Harvard Drive. A detour route will be set up. Residents in this area will not be able to access their driveways during paving. Residents on Rutgers Drive in this area can park on Columbia Drive, and the contractor will let them out on one side or the other. Residents on Yale Court or Stockton Street can park at the Hockhockson Park parking lot or on the western half of Rutgers Drive.

Friday, 8/9 – The contractor will continue paving Rutgers Drive from Stockton Street/Harvard Drive towards Water Street. Rutgers Drive will be closed to all traffic in this area. A detour route will be set up. Residents in this area will not be able to access their driveways during paving. Residents on the college street cul-de-sacs will need to park on Harvard Drive or the eastern half of Rutgers Drive that was paved on Thursday.


Monday, 8/10 – If needed, the contractor will finish paving Rutgers Drive to Water Street. Rutgers Drive will be closed to all traffic in this area. A detour route will be set up. Residents in this area will not be able to access their driveways during paving. Residents on the college street cul-de-sacs in this area will need to park on Harvard Drive or the eastern half of Rutgers that was recently paved.


The contractor, P&A Construction, typically works 7:00am to 3:00pm. Once you see that the contractor and Police have left the area for the day after paving, you are able to drive on the fresh asphalt.
