The Borough of Tinton Falls confirms that it has received the formal resignation of Councilmember Kashyap S. Parikh from the Borough Council, effective immediately.

In his resignation letter, Mr. Parikh stated that, after careful consideration, he determined it was best to step away from public service at this time so that he could focus his time and attention on his family.

The Borough acknowledges Mr. Parikh’s service to the residents of Tinton Falls and his contributions during his tenure on the Borough Council.

Mr. Parikh has requested that his privacy, particularly the privacy of his family and children, be respected during this transition. The Borough respects that request and asks others to extend the same consideration to his family.

The Borough will follow the process required by New Jersey law to address the vacancy on the Borough Council. Additional information regarding that process will be provided when appropriate.

The resignation will not affect Borough operations or the delivery of municipal services.
