Borough Administrator Transition

The Borough announces that Charles Terefenko, our Borough Administrator, will be leaving his position to accept a new opportunity in another municipality.

During his tenure, Mr. Terefenko provided exemplary service to the Borough. He brought innovation, professionalism, and a strong commitment to efficient and transparent government operations. His leadership helped modernize internal processes, strengthen daily municipal operations, and advance the long-term goals of the community. Mayor Clay and the Borough Council extend their sincere appreciation for his dedication and the positive impact he has made.

Mr. Terefenko will be greatly missed by elected officials, Borough staff, and residents alike. The Borough thanks him for his outstanding service and wishes him continued success in the next chapter of his career.

Moving Forward

Under the leadership of Mayor Risa Clay, the Borough has established a clear and proactive plan to ensure continuity and stability during this transition. That plan includes:

• An extensive and comprehensive search for a highly skilled and experienced permanent Borough Administrator
• The appointment of Mr. Thomas Fallon, a highly qualified interim administrator to oversee day-to-day operations. Mr. Fallon is our current CFO and has previously served the Borough as Interim Administrator.
• Steady leadership and direct oversight by Mayor Clay and Mr. Thomas Fallon, working closely with the Borough professionals, the Borough Council and senior staff

Mayor Clay emphasized the strength of the organization during this transition, stating:

This approach will ensure that Borough services continue without disruption and that the community remains well-served throughout the transition period. We appreciate the continued trust of our residents and remain focused on effective governance, fiscal responsibility, and moving our Borough forward.
