The Borough of Tinton Falls takes the safety and well-being of the participants of our programs very seriously. Our program would not be able to run without the many volunteer coaches who generously give their time to the participants of our programs.

All coaches must be certified by completing the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness For Educating Today's Youth). This program meets the minimum standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Organization and Training Skills Programs, and provides partial civil immunity protection to volunteer coaches under the "Little League Law".

Beginning September 2008, the Borough of Tinton Falls requires our coaching staff to submit to a criminal background check as per Borough Ordinance number 07-1228. The Borough has selected Instant Verification, Inc. to perform this service. All coaches will be required to complete this process every two years. Every volunteer that is cleared to coach will be issued a picture ID card that should be worn during all practice and game sessions.
